Big Tower Tiny Square is a precision platformer about a tiny square climbing one enormous tower to get its pineapple back.
It's built out of spikes, lasers and moving platforms, with a checkpoint every few screens, so the whole game is a chain of short, tough, retry-until-it-clicks sections.
You're a tiny square. Someone stole your pineapple and took it to the top of a very big tower. Climb it. The tower is one continuous level made of spikes, lasers, moving platforms and bouncing hazards, and it gets nastier the higher you go.
Run, jump and wall-jump your way up. Touch a hazard and you go back to the last checkpoint — never the bottom — so every section is a short puzzle of timing and movement you retry until it clicks. Reach the pineapple at the top and you've beaten the tower.
| ← / → or A / D | Move left and right |
|---|---|
| ↑ / W / Space | Jump — hold for a higher jump |
| Jump against a wall | Wall-jump off it |
This is a proper hard platformer that never feels cheap. The controls are tight, the hazards are readable, and when you die it's obvious what you did wrong.
The checkpointing is what makes it playable in a short break — you can bang your head against one section for five minutes, get it, and walk away feeling like you accomplished something.
Press against a wall while you're in the air and press jump. You kick off in the opposite direction, and you can chain wall-jumps up a narrow gap.
No — you respawn at the last checkpoint. The tower is long, but checkpoints are frequent.
It's one continuous climb that takes most people a good while to finish, with a difficulty curve that keeps stepping up. Quick to get into, slow to conquer.
This version needs a keyboard, so it's really a laptop or desktop game.
